In September 2003, the Denton State School had one wing, the Infectious diseases Wing, which had been in quarantine for four months.  Our HVAC system moves air through an above-ceiling plenum.  This plenum contained 60 years of dust, dirt, mold and bacteria.  The circulation of air through the building and the plenum may have been one path for distribution of airborne pathogens.  We were replacing filters in the HVAC system once every two weeks in an attempt to improve air quality.

After installation of American Air Scrubber’s equipment, we replaced reactor pads in the machine after two weeks and then on a three month cycle for the first year.  After the first year, the system, including the ducts and plenum, had been cleaned sufficiently that the reactor pads would last six months before needing to be replaced.

Additionally, and more importantly, the quarantine restriction was lifted from the facility one week after installation of American Air Scrubber’s equipment.  Not only has your equipment improved the air quality in the building, it has reduced the time and expense of replacing filters from 25 times a year to only twice per year.

The control of Listeria sp. is a challenge in the meat processing industry.  Meat processors use extreme caution in cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.  There is no guarantee that Listeria sp., or other potential health risks to food, will not become airborne and contaminate food products.

The research conducted by Texas Tech University with E. coli demonstrates that your equipment can kill bacteria, even in the dark away from the UV light.  American Air Scrubbers installed four machines in my plant and there was an immediate improvement in the air quality.  First, the residual smoke from preparation of smoked jerkey formerly filled the shop, but was removed by American Air Scrubbers equipment.  Secondly, the USDA inspector assigned to this facility has been very observant and recognizes the potential American Air Scrubbers technology holds for the industry.

I am very pleased with the performance of the American Air Scrubbers equipment and look forward to more of your scientific results.

The printing business employs many paints, inks, driers, and solvents.  These products produce fumes that are both an irritant and a potential health risk.  Vendors providing supplies and services to the printing industry have machines that cost about $10,000 and are supposed to clean the air.

I have one of these high-dollar machines – the frequency and expense of filter replacement make it impractical to use.  When American Air Scrubbers placed a machine in my shop, there was a marked improvement in air quality.  The American Air Scrubbers equipment out-performed the machine I had in place.

Thank you for also providing American Air Scrubbers equipment to remove smoke from my friend’s home following a fire.  He was very pleased with the performance of the equipment.  It saved him from considerable expense and loss of personal property and household goods.

In August of 2004, Ron Chambless installed two of your custom built air cleaning machines in the JFK Restaurant, located in the Depot Entertainment District of Lubbock, Texas.  The restaurant is licensed by the city to accommodate 266 people.  Many of the patrons smoke.  Both my wife and I are allergic to cigarette smoke and have respiratory problems when exposed to smoke.

We enjoy staying in the restaurant, listening to the music and visiting with patrons.  However, we can not spend much time there when exposed to smoke.

After installation of the American Air Scrubbers equipment, we were able to stay in the restaurant until closing time.  We could go home with clear heads and without our hair and clothes smelling of smoke.  Our non-smoking patrons have also experienced the difference your equipment makes in indoor air quality.

Thank you for introducing your equipment to us.

My responsibility at the Reese Center was Director of Disaster Services.  The Reese center Team began receiving (hurricane Katrina) evacuees on September 2, 2005 and we received a total of 420 by September 4, 2005.

These evacuees were housed in a large hanger with two bays, each approximately 75’ x 200’ x 40’ or approximately 1.2 million cubic feet.  With the exception of the open doors, the bays had little air exchange and the air quickly became foul.  Not only were they refugees, they had been in waded through contaminated flood water for several days.  The people, their belongings, their clothes and the donated clothes all had an odor.

American Air Scrubbers, Inc. provided four large (Patriot models) and one small (Sentry model) machines to purify the air within the hanger.

In less than 24 hours our shelter managers were able to detect a marked difference through out the hanger.  Personnel within the presence of the machines noted an improvement in air quality, specifically odor, within ten minutes of installation.

After three days of operation, American Air Scrubbers equipment has removed the residual odors.  The only detectable odors are the transient odors which occur normally when you have 172 refugees and about the same number of support staff in a building.

Thank you for your generous gift.  Because of your machines our working experience dramatically improved.

We had a flood in our Lubbock Store and when we came in on the Monday after the huge rain storm, we were greeted by half inch of water all over the store.  The carpet and pad, we thought, were ruined.  After we sucked out the water; the smell of mildew and mold was terrible.  Ron Vickers, our outside salesman said he knew of a machine that would not only take the odor out, but the entire mold spores and mildew.  He contacted American Air Scrubbers and they brought over the machine to try.  It dried out the showroom and offices in two days and took the bad smell out in a day.  This Air Scrubber, we were told, will take care of smoke odor from fires and air born bacteria as well as any mold spores.
